Lucideon to Carry Out ISO 50001 Certification for Douglas Macmillan Hospice

Lucideon has agreed to carry out ISO 50001 certification for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice free-of-charge

Douglas Macmillan Hospice is Lucideon's chosen charity for 2015. It provides hospice services free of charge to adults with life limiting illnesses in the North Staffordshire area and also provides supportive care for their families and carers.

ISO 50001 is the new international energy management standard that provides a framework and guidance to monitor, manage and potentially reduce energy consumption. By having certification, the Douglas Macmillan Hospice will also be able to comply with the new Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme.

Ann-Marie Cornall, Sales Consultant, Assurance, at Lucideon, said:
"We are pleased to support Douglas Macmillan by carrying out certification of its energy management system free-of-charge. Included in the certification will be the hospice itself as well as its twenty retail units throughout North Staffordshire."

Paul Munyard, Facilities Manager at Douglas Macmillan Hospice said:
"We are very grateful to Lucideon for offering to certify our energy management system. This will benefit the hospice as a charity to comply with the new Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme and we anticipate that it will help us to save money on our energy costs."
