CICS' Client First in UK Section of EU Registry

CICS is pleased to announce that one of its clients, Jan Bezemer & Sons, was the first compliant stationary installation in Europe to be entered into the UK section of the new single EU Registry which keeps track of the ownership of carbon allowances

2013 is the first year that stationary installation operators within the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) have had to enter their verified CO2 figures into this new registry, rather than into national registries.

Juliet James, Office Manager at CICS, says:
"We are currently in the process of verifying the emissions of over 500 operators for the EU ETS, which includes approving their figures in the EU Registry. We are extremely proud that one of our clients was the first installation to be compliant in the UK section of this pan European Registry."
