Determination of Creep in Compression of Refractory Products - Test Method - BS EN 993-9:1997
Methods of test for dense shaped refractory products. Determination of creep in compression.
Creep in compression is the isothermal deformation of a compressive stressed product as a function of time.
A test piece is submitted to a constant load and then heated under specified conditions to a given temperature. The deformation of the test piece is recorded and the percentage change evaluated as a function of time.
