Join us in Schenectady, New York
The Schenectady site is home to a full-scale chemistry laboratory, a precision machine shop which specializes in the machining of the most advanced and challenging materials samples and components, and the largest and most sophisticated high temperature water corrosion facility in the world.
Through its prior association with GE Global Research, the lab has amassed over 10,000,000 hours of Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) testing experience in a variety of environmental conditions, including BWR and PWR nuclear applications.
With technical direction provided through experts in SCC such as Dr. Peter Andresen and Dr. Xiaoyuan Lou, and a combined experience of over 100 years' worth of SCC testing at Lucideon, we have established the “gold standard” for SCC testing across the world.
Situated just an hour's drive away from some fantastic winter skiing, the site is also perfect for boating and water sports on the magnificent Mohawk River that runs behind our facility. Year-round, there is an abundance of outdoor activities available, including hiking, fishing, and camping. For culture and entertainment, the historic city of Saratoga Springs is within reach, offering a vibrant downtown and the excitement of the oldest thoroughbred horse racing track in the US.
