The course describes:
- The basic principles of spray drying
- Advantages of spray drying over other granulation techniques
- Choosing the right spray dryer for a specific application
- Preparation of a ceramic suspension for spray drying
- How to operate a spray dryer
- Choice of the correct binders and plasticizers
- How to ensure a uniform granulate for pressing is produced.
At the end of the course you will be able to understand:
- How spray drying is utilized in the preparation of ceramic bodies
