Case Study

Colour Standards and the International Wool Textile Organisation

One factor that determines the value of raw wool is its colour.

The specification for the colour of raw wool was standardised throughout the world so that, wherever the wool was tested, the results would be consistent.

The challenge

Lucideon's Colour Standards experts were asked to produce a special set of standards to ensure consistency in the calibration of the instruments used to measure the colour of the raw wool.

What we delivered

We produced a special set of Colour Standards by extending our range of colours, which had particular colour values similar to the range found in raw wool throughout the world.

Value to the client

The project was successfully completed and the Colour Standards sent to the accredited testing laboratories, thereby ensuring consistency in the valuation of raw wool the world over.
