Lucideon Expands 2017 Refractories Training Programme
Lucideon has announced the expansion of its 2017 training schedule with five refractories courses that cover materials, performance, troubleshooting, design, and quality control during refractory installation.
The one-day courses will be held at the Lucideon headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent and are suited for organisations looking to enhance their current refractories knowledge and grow internal expertise. They are ideal for technical and quality teams, inspectors, engineers, marketing and sales, new starters or those just looking to update their existing knowledge
Commenting on the expansion, Jan Theron, Refractories Training Tutor at Lucideon said:
“It was clear to us that there was a real need for training across the industry, not just in the UK, but also internationally. An important part of the training is that the courses not only cover the theoretical and fundamental principles of refractories, they also link to the practical on-site challenges and issues that companies face on a daily basis.”
The courses have been developed using Lucideon’s extensive experience in the refractories sector, including failure analysis, refractory selection, quality control, design evaluation and refractory maintenance management.
Lucideon plans to offer further refractories training in 2018 for specific industries such as glass, cement, petrochemical, aluminium and waste incineration, as well as a project management course. The standard refractories modules can be customized for individual business needs and delivered on-site.
