Ceram Publishes White Paper ‘Driving Up Profits and Reducing Emissions: The Benefits of ISO 50001’
We have published a new white paper 'Driving Up Profits and Reducing Emissions: The Benefits of ISO 50001'.
The cost of energy has been steadily rising over the past decade, in part due to the introduction of environmental taxes but also as a result of volatile international markets as oil and natural gas reserves diminish.
ISO 50001 is the new international standard for energy management. It provides a framework and guidance to monitor, manage and potentially reduce energy consumption.
The paper examines how implementing and certifying an ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS) can: maximise energy efficiency and minimise wastage, identify energy and cost savings, manage risk, reduce carbon emissions, enhance brand reputation, demonstrate an environmental commitment and integrate with other management standards. In addition, the paper also examines what the standard entails and details organizations that have been early adopters of the scheme.
