Webinar: Novel Materials Development to Address Dental Sector Needs

Thursday 2 November at 15:00 UK time, 11:00 EDT

In this webinar we will explore the important drivers facing the dental industry and discuss the potential roles that novel materials could play as ‘enablers’.

The key focus of the webinar will be novel inorganic material types that are being developed during a European Commission funded project - Biodensol.   The materials are designed to offer either bioactivity or re-mineralization capabilities and, as such, offer the potential to extend tooth or restoration lifetimes.

One of Lucideon’s three Biodensol PhD students, Delihta Fernando, will talk about the materials, two of which are based on sol-gel systems and one on phase-separated glass, and will share the characteristics of each material type discovered to date.  She will also explore examples of their potential use in different end products.
