Lucideon Collaborates with NCSU to Provide Construction Testing Services in the US
Lucideon has extended its construction services in the US and entered into collaboration with North Carolina State University (NCSU).
The partnership will provide the construction experts at Lucideon with access to the Structural Systems Laboratory, part of the Constructed Facilities Laboratory at the Centennial Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina.
In addition to Lucideon's specialized laboratory facilities in Schenectady, New York, clients will now have use of a 4,500 square foot reaction space where large-scale structures can be tested. The arrangement also facilitates contact with knowledgeable NCSU faculty staff that specialize in fibre reinforced polymers, conventional and high strength concrete, steel, masonry and timber, amongst other materials.
Geoff Edgell, Director and Principal Construction Consultant, Lucideon, said:
"Lucideon is keen to expand its activities in the US and especially so in the construction industry. We have a great deal of expertise in Schenectady; however we need a partner in order to offer the same scale of activity that we can offer in the UK. NCSU offers exactly that with a range of expertise and large-scale testing facilities. NCSU is also perfectly placed in relation to our newly opened offices in Raleigh, where we are growing our activities."
Due to its extensive and diverse knowledge of raw materials, building products, components, systems and structures, and purpose-built large-scale testing facilities, Lucideon is able to provide laboratory and on-site testing and consultancy to clients throughout the construction industry.
Lucideon's engineers, scientists and technical consultants enable its clients to improve performance, solve problems, comply with regulations and meet specifications, realize products and projects from conception through to completion, develop novel products and processes, and improve existing ones.
