Lucideon to Attend 3rd UK-Japan Nuclear Industry Forum in Tokyo, Japan
Lucideon is pleased to announce that it has been selected to attend the 3rd UK-Japan Nuclear Industry Forum which is taking place on 04 and 05 February 2019 at the British Embassy in Tokyo, Japan.
Organised by the Department for International Trade (DIT) in conjunction with the Japan Atomic Industrial Forum Inc (JAIF) and the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA), the forum will focus on decommissioning Japanese nuclear facilities and feature new build programmes in the UK.
The forum will provide a valuable opportunity for UK-based organisations to promote UK goods and services to the Japanese nuclear decommissioning market. The two-day networking event will review industry news, case studies and project updates, as well as the UK-Japan joint academic research fund. Subject to confirmation, the agenda may also include a visit to a Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) facility which is earmarked for decommissioning.
Tim Abbott, business development manager, energy & aerospace, Lucideon, commented:
“We are looking forward to participating in the 3rd UK-Japan Nuclear Industry Forum, it’s a great opportunity to build collaborative relationships with local customers, suppliers, research facilities and other UK suppliers to Japan. Building on our existing support to Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO) and the Japanese BWR Owners Group, Lucideon is keen to explore additional areas where its materials science expertise can help solve the challenges faced by the Japanese nuclear industry.”
