Ceramic Innovation Network Conference ‘Ceramics in Society: Demanding Environments’ - Wednesday 11 April 2018

Lucideon, in collaboration with the British Ceramic Confederation (BCC), Innovate UK Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) and The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), is pleased to be hosting the Ceramic Innovation Network (CIN) Conference, 'Ceramics in Society: Demanding Environments'. The conference is taking place on Wednesday 11 April 2018, 10am - 4pm, at Lucideon’s headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

The free-to-attend event will bring together academics and industrialists from all sub-sectors of the ceramic industry seeking to improve their knowledge of the potential applications of ceramics across a range of demanding environments.

Speakers will include Morgan Advanced Materials, Birmingham University, The Henry Royce Institute and Naylor Drainage, to name but a few.

Stuart MacLachlan, head of R&D at Lucideon, said: "The annual Ceramic Innovation Network meeting is a popular and growing event, providing excellent opportunities to learn about the impact of new technology, meet people from industry and academia and start future collaborations."

Lucideon has many years of experience in the both the traditional and advanced ceramics sectors. With pilot and manufacturing scale capabilities, comprehensive analytical facilities and disruptive technologies, Lucideon's ceramics experts can help to develop the materials, products and processes of the future.

The CIN builds upon the former Structural Ceramics Network (SCERN), which was an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded network, the primary purpose of which was to bring together the structural ceramics community to increase co-operation and integration.
