Dr. Agata Lapa
Expertise in: Bioceramics, glass technology
Materials Engineer Consultant
After finishing a degree in Biomedical Engineering in Cracow, Poland, Agata was a PhD student in a European Funded Project – HyMedPoly. The project focused on the development of drug-free antibacterial materials for medical applications in order to address the problem of growing bacterial resistance to antibiotics. She was working on soluble Phosphate Based Glasses and Phosphate Glass Fibres as a platform of controlled release of antibacterial as well as biological active ions.
As a member of our AMP Team, Agata is involved in a number of projects, starting from healthcare, batteries, agriculture, geopolymers and more. Glass and ceramics materials have many interesting properties that make them a promising candidate for various applications.
