Additive Manufacturing - Additional Issues

Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM) allows complex structures to be manufactured that couldn’t be achieved - or would be too expensive - by using other techniques. However, the complex and relatively unusual process means the materials are notoriously difficult to clean effectively, which has big implications in medical devices, particularly in implants.
