Lucideon Paper Accepted for Publication in Journal

Lucideon has had its paper, jointly authored by scientists from Lucideon and a world leading consumer healthcare company, accepted for publication in Archives of Oral Biology.

The paper, titled 'A novel electron-microscopic method for measurement of mineral content in enamel lesions', details collaborative work carried out to determine a time and cost effective method to characterize the mineral content in demineralized tooth enamel, including caries and erosion lesions.

Dr Alan Paul, director of operations, surface science, said:

"It is great to see the work from this interesting and complex project recognized in a publication such as Archives of Oral Biology.  Much work has been done to produce these findings which can now be used with confidence to measure the mineral content of enamel lesions.  The ability to measure the content of lesions is important for manufacturers of enamel restoring toothpastes as it provides a quality method to prove the effect of their products, in a relatively rapid and cost-effective manner."
