This one‑day course focuses on the fundamentals of refractory installation and the factors that most commonly affect installation quality. Participants will gain an understanding of the challenges associated with different installation methods, including casting, ramming, gunning, brick laying and fibre installation. Emphasis is placed on recognising preferred installation practices, identifying poor practices, and understanding how installation quality influences long‑term performance. The course is particularly relevant for those involved in supervision, inspection, quality assurance and maintenance.
