Mechanical Testing
We offer a broad range of mechanical testing capabilities to determine or verify the physical properties of any material.
We perform mechanical tests under test conditions ranging from highly elevated to sub-ambient temperatures.
Examples of tests we routinely perform on metals, plastics, composites, ceramics, tapes, and coatings include:
- Bend testing
- Bond strength
- Charpy impact
- Compression
- Creep
- Deformation
- Elongation
- Flexural strength
- Gardner impact
- Hardness (Brinell, Knoop, Rockwell, Shore, Vickers)
- Refractory testing
- Shear strength
- Stress rupture
- Stress relaxation
- Tensile strength
- Thermal expansion
- Peel testing.
ยป We offer superior specimen machining and preparation services.
We also offer non-contact 3DStrain load monitoring services. This optical, full-field surface strain measurement service, provides a fundamental understanding of how objects behave under applied loads. We deliver movement tracking at the pixel level via color-coded strain videos on most materials, for a range of sizes and complex geometries.

We also provide custom fixturing and test design, to create non-standard tests that more closely represent the loads a material or component would experience in service.
