Is your Plant Scheduled for a Shutdown Within the Next 9 Months?

Here's our tips on making your preparations relating to the refractory lining:

  • Are you going to replace your lining with one of the exact same design? If so, review your drawings to make sure you’re happy with them.
  • If you’re going to go with a new design, have you had this checked out by a third party?
  • Do your materials/linings specifications capture the requirements needed for the specific application?
  • Have you ordered the materials/linings? Make sure you receive confirmation of the quality of your materials, based on your engineering specifications.
  • Have you selected the most appropriate installation team? Do they have experience of the industry and of different material types? Have you engaged with them to understand their requirements?
  • Has a third party quality assurance team been appointed to oversee the execution of the work?
  • Has a full health and safety review been done?

It's important that all of the above is in place so as not to prolong the length of the shutdown.
