Benchmarking

In order to benchmark efficiently, the key properties of a material or process must first be defined. This requires an understanding of both how the product is used and the structural and environmental conditions to which it is subjected when in use.

Our experienced engineers will carry out an initial study to define these properties prior to carrying out a practical study.

These material or process characteristics can be benchmarked to allow generic products to be used when there are no standard requirements in place.

This allows a broader range of products to be sourced with no prospect of reduced performance and hence provides a more cost-effective approach to sourcing and buying. Equally, processes can be streamlined or material waste can be minimized.
