Peel L&P Achieves International Standard for Energy Performance for Seventh Year Running

Peel L&P has announced that its ISO 50001 energy management system, which helps to monitor the energy performance of buildings in its portfolio, has passed its three-yearly audit for a seventh year running.

This international standard provides a framework for organisations to make more informed decisions on reducing energy use to help them become more energy efficient.

By continuing to improve its energy management system, Peel L&P can enhance the climate resilience of its portfolio, reduce carbon emissions and help futureproof the business.

Tim Watts, Principal Auditor at Lucideon recommended their system for re-certification for another three years: “Peel L&P has consistently demonstrated continual improvement in energy performance; driven with commitment at all levels of the business as demonstrated by directors, senior management and asset level operational teams, who are enthusiastic about energy management and energy performance of their assets. I congratulate Peel L&P on their progress to date and I am convinced that this will continue through the objectives set for the future.”

Laura Atkinson, ISO 50001 lead at Peel L&P said: “Despite the challenging year we have all experienced, our energy team continues to drive energy saving opportunities within Peel L&P. The team’s dedication has resulted in the integration of our Science Based Target to 2030, expanding our Net Zero Carbon portfolio to 16 assets and the enhancement of our energy management software.”
