Lucideon Releases Shipping MRV Verification White Paper
Lucideon has released a new industry white paper ‘EU MRV - Emissions Monitoring and Verification in the Shipping Sector. Are You Prepared?’
This white paper examines the status of the implementation of the regulation, (EU) 2015/757. The regulation means that by 2018, following approval of a monitoring plan in 2017, large ships using EU ports will be required to report their verified annual emissions and other relevant information. The paper looks at key issues for shipping companies on the back of this new regulation.
David Robinson, Assurance Services Manager, Lucideon, said:
“The new EU regulation 2015/757 will have big implications within the shipping industry, and compliance is mandatory for ships that fall within the regulation’s scope. With this white paper we provide an overview of the current implementation of the regulation and examine some of the key issues and concerns for shipping companies.”
