Lucideon Assures 3663's Sustainability Report

Committed to protecting and conserving natural resources, 3663, a leading food service provider in the UK, has been driving the sustainability agenda within the food service industry for many years; the group has cut carbon emissions by 20% from their baseline of 2007 and has set itself a target of zero waste to landfill by 2015.

The challenge

In order to enhance the credibility of their information, Jason Monckton, Sustainability Manager at 3663, engaged Lucideon CICS to provide an independent evaluation of their Sustainability Report.

What we delivered

The robust assurance process involved carrying out site visits, data verification and interviews with key personnel. Backed by his skilled team of verifiers, Lucideon CICS Operations Manager, Tim Watts, evaluated the report against the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3.1 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines, concluding that the information and data contained within the report was reliable and provided a fair and balanced representation of 3663's sustainability activities.

Value to the client

Jason Monckton, Sustainability Manager at 3663, explained why he decided to have the report independently verified.

"We chose to seek external assurance for our sustainability report as we believe it provides all of our stakeholders with confidence in the factuality of its content. Additionally it helps prepare us for anticipated tightening of environmental reporting requirements in the future."
