New Appointment Underpins Lucideon’s Commitment to Innovation
Lucideon has made a senior appointment to support plans to transform and monetise high performance materials across the global economy.
Reiner Bonsmann joins the company as General Manager, supporting Chief Executive Tony Kinsella, with responsibility for testing and consulting operations, as well as business growth development.
An engineer by profession, Reiner has more than 30 years of industry experience, having worked in Germany and the US as well as the UK, where he has been based for the last 18 years.
He has an MSc in engineering from the Technical University in Aachen, Germany, and an MBA from Henley College/Brunel University.
Reiner said: “Lucideon is a progressive organization with a growth vision which invests in people and systems.
“I am looking forward to helping to grow the business in the spirit of innovation.
“Lucideon is supporting that step change, breaking out of the pattern of traditional approaches, driving new innovations in materials and working with clients to develop specific projects.
“We are taking something from an initial idea into a product, a service or a process.
“Having a strong focus with exceptional resources and expertise means we deliver a shorter turnaround and ultimately help our clients grow their businesses.”
Reiner joins a business that has already created a pathway for major expansion, with 2013 representing a year of revenue and profit growth despite significant investment in equipment and people.
Revenues broke through £15 million - a 10 per cent increase on 2012 - and profits doubled to £1.7 million (PBT).
2014 is shaping up to be another exceptional year, with highlights including a £2.6 million investment to develop new services in the UK and US in construction, healthcare and power engineering capabilities.
